School of Electrical Engineering, Chongqing University
School of Electrical Engineering (SEE), established in 1935, is one of the oldest and most profound schools in Chongqing University. The school has accumulated prominent research achievements and scientific technologies in the fields of Insulation and Disaster Prevention of Power Transmission Equipment, Reliability and Risk Assessment of Power System and Equipment, New Energy Power Equipment and System Security, Bio-electromagnetic and New Medical Technology, and made great contributions to lead the frontier development of the discipline, serve the major national demand and projects and the national defense construction. SEE has two national scientific research bases (State Key Laboratory and National Field Scientific Observation and Research Station), one national cultivation base, and 8 provincial and ministerial level key scientific research bases.
The school has a well-structured and high-level teaching group, including 150 full-time professional teachers, 15 national talents such as foreign academicians of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, 1 innovation group of National Natural Science Foundation of China, 1 national-level teaching team, and 1 Chongqing “Huang Danian” teaching team.
Oriented by the national “Double Carbon” strategy, based on the construction of national clean energy bases, SEE takes the construction of Chengdu-Chongqing Economic Circle as a key opportunity, focusing on the development of Electric Power Safety in Extremely Harsh Environment, Clean Energy Power Conversion and Equipment, Safe and Efficient Operation of New Power System, Electric Energy Storage and Flexible Regulation, Space Power Transmission and Equipment and other disciplines, in order to provide basic theory and key technical support for the construction of the new generation of energy and electric power system.

1. Hongshen Excellent Scholar
u Qualifications & Requirements: Generally, be under 45 years old; have great potential for innovation and development, have gained outstanding academic achievements that can be recognized by peer experts in related research fields; have the ability and potential to be a leader in related disciplines.
u Employment Mode: Be employed by the public institution as a professor, be granted doctoral supervisor qualification.
u Salary & Fringe Benefits: An annual salary of CNY 600,000 + bonus; a relocation fee up to CNY 2,100,000; research start-up grants of CNY 2,000,000-6,000,000; the university helps to solve problems such as spouse’s employment and children’s enrollment.
2. Hongshen Young Scholar- A/B Post
u Qualifications & Requirements: Generally, be under 35 years old, with no less than 2 years of academic work experience; be prominent in the related research fields, obtain high-level academic achievements, and have strong potential for innovation and development.
u Employment Mode: Be employed by the public institution as a professor, be granted doctoral supervisor qualification.
u Salary & Fringe Benefits: An annual salary of CNY 350,000-450,000 + bonus; a relocation fee of CNY 500,000-600,000; research start-up grants of CNY 1,000,000-2,000,000; the university helps to solve problems such as children’s enrollment.
3. Tenured Professor/Tenure-tracked Professor
u Qualifications & Requirements: Have high academic attainments; academic achievements in recent 5 years are higher than or basically equal to the academic level of the professors that the school has appointed by the same year; generally, be under 45 years old.
u Employment Mode: Full-time employment by the public institution.
u Salary & Fringe Benefits: Salary implemented under the merit-based pay system; a relocation fee of CNY 400,000-600,000; research start-up grants of CNY 600,000-1,000,000.
4. Tenured Associate Professor/Tenure-tracked Associate Professor
u Qualifications & Requirements: Have high academic potential; academic achievements in recent 5 years are higher than or basically equal to the academic level of the associate professors that the school has appointed by the same year; generally, be under 35 years old.
u Employment Mode: Full-time employment by the public institution.
u Salary & Fringe Benefits: Salary implemented under the merit-based pay system; a relocation fee of CNY 250,000; research start-up grants of CNY 200,000-300,000.
5. Hongshen Lecturer
u Qualifications & Requirements: Excellent Ph.D. graduates with independent scientific research ability; Special grant recipients should have excellent academic potential, and key grant recipients should have great academic potential; generally, be under 35 years old, Ph.D. obtained within recent three years.
u Employment Mode: Postdoctoral Researchers
u Salary & Fringe Benefits: An annual salary of CNY 300,000/400,000 + bonus; have opportunities to participate in the qualification evaluation of full-time scientific research series technical posts; children can be enrolled in our affiliated kindergarten and primary and secondary schools; excellent candidates can apply for transferring to corresponding full-time teaching posts; Chongqing municipal government will subsidize CNY 150,000 for those working in Chongqing after leaving the station.
6. Full-time Scientific Researcher
